Robert has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, beginning as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. He was previously a partner at several firms in New York, Washington, DC, and was the founding Chair of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law department at a mid-sized general practice firm in Pennsylvania. He has lectured domestically and internationally, and testified before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office on patent appeal practice. Since 2011, he has been listed in Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Bauer has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Stony Brook University and a law (J.D.) degree from the George Washington University Law School. He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and multiple district courts.
